Resources
Symbiotic Sessions aims to bring electronically oriented music to the next level of maturity. We sincerely believe the direction the scene will and should go to is towards full live performances, multi-artist formations and high-tech jam sessions, much like any other ‘classic’ music genre like jazz, blues, rock etc. And due to the current and upcoming advance in technology, the potential of this new dawn in music is enormous; think of global live streaming, VR, augmented reality, wireless technologies, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
But, as you might know, this is not as easy as it sounds, and, although there are more and more communities emerging everywhere online, there is no proper education available yet focussing on aiding this development. Also, electronic musicians tend to walk a totally different path of musical evolution and have a very different knowledge focus than say, jazz musicians. At Symbiotic Sessions we function as a platform to to create and share tools, tips, guidelines, and other resources to help the rise of this new era in music.
Knowledgebase
One of the things we are working on is The Electronic Realbook™, named after the unofficial book of jazz standards and other classic pieces of music/?page_id=59/#electronicrealbook used by musicians worldwide. What we like to do is identify some true classic timeless pieces of electronic music and convert them to sheets with information on how to play them or create them in a live setting with your synth, drum machine or other pieces of gear.
Keep an eye on this page for useful downloads, new additions to The Electronic Realbook™, innovative setup tips and other useful knowledge.
